Xenosaga Pied Piper 

This is a fan-recreation of Xenosaga Pied Piper, which originally released in Japan in 2004 for mobile devices.  Xenosaga as well as all contained characters and stories are property of Bandai Namco. This fan-recreation is purely made out of passion for the franchise and is meant both for Xenosaga fans who have had no chance of playing the original release of Pied Piper as well as attracting new fans to Bandai Namco's Xenosaga.  

You can either download the game on Windows PCs or Mac OS, or simply play it in your browser on itch.io. For shorter loading times, I highly recommend downloading the game. It is playable with Keyboard, Gamepad or Touch-Controls. 

Features

First of all, you can expect to play a faithful recreation of the original Pied Piper story. But this project tries to offer you even more. 

• Localization: You can play the game in Japanese, English, German and French* (*the French localization is still WiP and does not cover the full game yet)
• No random encounters: Similarly to the numbered Xenosaga games you can see and dodge enemies on the field map, trap or surprise them from behind
• A battle system style more similar to Xenosaga Episode III with its turn order, boosting and Special Attacks
• Character faces by フォレスト (Forest): You can view the dialog faces in two modes: 
  • Classic: A slightly bigger character portrait inside the text-box
  • Modern: A large character portrait outside the textbox to see more detail
• Music by wowbobwow: While the demo was still using stock music from RPG Maker and royalty-free music, the full version has a fully original soundtrack made by wowbobwow!
• Various features from the numbered Xenosaga games: As I am a passionate fan of the numbered Xenosaga games myself, I tried to turn this into a full Xenosaga-experience as much as possible, so I implemented features which are not even in the original Pied Piper: 
  • Segment Doors
  • EVS plates
  • Skill Trees

This is a pure fan-project made by fans out of love for the original game series. No one working on it took money and the project itself is not made for profit. So there will be no charge to play or download and no micro-transaction or anything of the like within the game. 

ゼノサーガ パイドパイパー 

 2004年に日本で発売された携帯端末向けゲームソフト「ゼノサーガ パイドパイパー」をファン向けに再現したデモです。 ゼノサーガ」及びそのキャラクター、ストーリーはバンダイナムコに帰属します。このファン・レクリエーションは、純粋にゼノサーガへの情熱から作られたもので、オリジナルの「パイドパイパー」をプレイする機会がなかったゼノサーガファンのため、またバンダイナムコのゼノサーガに新たに興味を持ってもらうためのものです。 

 ゲームはWindows PCやMac OSでダウンロードすることもできるし、itch.ioのブラウザでプレイすることもできる。ローディング時間を短縮するには、ダウンロードを強くお勧めする。キーボード、ゲームパッド、タッチコントロールでプレイできる。

特徴

まず第一に、パイド・パイパーの原作を忠実に再現しています。しかし、このプロジェクトはそれ以上のものを提供しようとしています。

• ローカライズ： 日本語、英語、ドイツ語、フランス語*でプレイできます。
• (*フランス語のローカライズはまだWiPであり、ゲーム全体をカバーしていません)
• ランダムエンカウントはない： ゼノサーガのナンバリング作品と同様に、フィールドマップ上の敵を見てかわしたり、罠を仕掛けたり、背後から奇襲したりすることができる。
• ゼノサーガ・エピソードIIIに近いバトルシステム：ターン順、ブースト、セプシャルアタックなど。
• フォレストによるキャラクターフェイス： ダイアログの顔は2つのモードで見ることができます： 
  • クラシック： クラシック：テキストボックスの中に少し大きめの肖像画が表示されます。
  • モダン：テキストボックスの外側に大きく表示され、より詳細な情報を見ることができる。
• wowbobwowによる音楽： 体験版ではRPGツクールやロイヤリティフリーの音楽を使用していましたが、製品版ではwowbobwowによる完全オリジナルのサウンドトラックが収録されています。
• ゼノサーガのナンバリング作品から様々なフィーチャー： 私自身、ゼノサーガのナンバリング作品の熱狂的なファンなので、できる限り完全なゼノサーガを体験できるように、オリジナルの「パイドパイパー」にもない機能を実装しました： 
  • セグメントドア
  • EVSプレート
  • スキルツリー

これはオリジナルのゲームシリーズを愛するファンが作った純粋なファンプロジェクトです。誰もお金を取っていませんし、プロジェクト自体も営利目的では作られていません。そのため、プレイやダウンロードに料金はかかりませんし、ゲーム内でのマイクロトランザクションなども一切ありません。
